I was browsing the comix on Jewlarious.com, a jewish humor site from Aish Hatorah. I found this one really funny. Obviously this mother was reffering to type 2 diabetes (which is partially caused by poor lifestyle choices and obesity.)
It made me LOL...
:-D

O come on, a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down.

Supercalafragicblahblahblahblah wont either fit to well, its got to be some sort of curse.
Can't recall when she would let them have a full spoon of sugar...
MIM-it might be shame Hashem-careful! ;)
BTS-Maybe when they were showing signs of high blood sugar...
Gotta watch movie again...
Do you have one of those cool cell phone-like insulin thingies stuck into your self that you can always whip out on shabbos and pretend its your cell phone?
Heshy, I have an insulin pump, if that is what you mean. But on shabbos is when I am most careful to hide it. It isn't funny to have the alarm go off on shabbos....
If you are talking about the Continous Glucose Monitoring System, no, I don't. Thanks to my dumb insurance company....
See: http://karpoozi123.blogspot.com/2008/07/july-1-2008-cgms-denial-day-my-open.html
How much does it cost? Does it require doctors to install it or it's self manageable?
Which one are you reffering to? Insulin pump or continuous glucose monitor?
I'll write a post to clarify if you'd like.
Inspired, if you are reading this, can you help me out?
To CGMS. Pump you have as I understood
BTS, an explanation is coming soon. Don't worry.
