Top Ten Things You Didn't Need To Know About Me (aka I'm a Kreativ Blogger!)

Ages ago, G6 nominated me to be a creative blogger. I really shouldn't have waited this long to thank her, cuz it's not very often that I find myself being compared to a box of chocolate. :-D Not to mention, it's not every day that I find myself getting such Kreativ-ly spelled awards. Since it's Tuesday, I figured we could combine the seven items required to accept this award with a Top Ten Tuesday post.

Anyone who wanted to know more about me is lucky, cuz today you get not seven, but ten absolutely useless factoids about the great blogger SD!

Here goes:

10) I could probably be called Houdini II. In school, I never did a stitch of work, never showed up to class, and yet all of my teachers loved me and I never got into any trouble. o:-)

9) My first speeding ticket "happened" less than six months after I got my license. I was sure it would be suspended, but it wasn't, thanks to a clear and open miracle on the part of G-d.

8) I am considered a gadget freak, and I wear the badge with honor. Anything with a screen and buttons makes me drool. In fact, though I shouldn't be admitting this to the world wide web, the real reason I wanted an insulin pump (the first time I saw one, at the age of 12) was because it was another electronic gadget. Plus that meter they gave me in the hospital when I was diagnosed made me pretty sure that diabetes is so cool.

7) I love to cook, but I hate to follow recipes. Measuring cups and spoons are my archenemies. That's probably why I hate to bake, now that I think of it.

6) Most people don't find me very funny in real life. Those who do really get on my nerves.

5) My bedroom has two general states: oh-my-gosh-what-happened-to-this-place-its-a-disaster-zone-was-there-a-tornado-watch-recently or oh-man-you-are-a-sick-neat-freak. But, regardless of the cleanliness of my room - or lack thereof - I am insanely organized. I always know exactly where everything is. I also know if anyone ever touches a thing. In fact, I would probably be able to tell if someone just walked in, even if they touch nothing.

4) On the topic of my bedroom, my family calls it my cave. They say I spend way too much time in it.

3) My boss once read a report I did and told me I am in the wrong field. "You should be a writer." ;-) A friend (who obviously doesn't know that I have a blog) once told me that I should publish a book of shidduch jokes and stories. :-P

2) I want to marry a guy just like my little brother, LT, just a slightly more cultured version. Oh, and he doesn't need to fix things so much.

1) I have a pet beetle named Freddy. He is dead. :-(

Now tell me something interesting about you!

By the way, in case you can't tell, I am kinda low on Top Ten ideas. If you have any, please email me! Or you can post a comment and request that I don't publish it. Thanks!

TOL- Horatio? Horatio Alger- pulled himself up by his bootstraps...don't ask me what I meant by that, not sure what it is or where it's from but it's in my head, some teacher must've drilled it in really well....

How can you be insanely organized yet still live in a wreck?
Although, I shouldn't talk. I recently said I could lay my hand on anything in my baking drawer with my eyes closed...and it's a flying cake nightmare of a wreck.

LOL!
10 - lucky you!
7 - I love to cook and bake - with cooking, it's fun to play around with recipes and see how it comes out but with baking, I'll follow the recipe to the T so it comes out right...
Seems like you are pretty good at baking too, looking back to a post you wrote succos-time with delicious pictures...
I enjoyed this one!!
Great job ;-)

I knew almost everything on the list :-). And it's not totally useless. I mean, now I know never to laugh at your jokes irl. Not that they're funny...

8- I am such a gizmo geek its not normal. Screens, buttons.. you name it, i love it! (which is probably why i picked the phone with the most buttons) and i love typing!

Oooh, gadget freak... me too! me toooo!!!! Re the insulin pump, my husband's Bravo is way cooler :P

"I love to cook, but I hate to follow recipes."
Close. But no cigar. I love to cook but I hate to do the resultant dishes. The chemist in me needs the recipes.

I can also totally identify with the fact that even in my messiest areas, I know exactly where everything is! I know many neat freaks (husband included) who can never find a darn thing in their organized worlds.....

Overall, I'd say we have quite a bit in common. Long lost relatives maybe?

TOL- oh no, you certainly don't wanna. ;-)
And LOL Freddy would send regards back but he's dead. :-(

Freeda- Horatio is TOL's pet too. Lol. I won't tell you who named him...

NMF- I think I played up the wreck a little too much. Basically, my room gets a drop messy then it gets even messier, then suddenly it's a wreck and I can't be in it. Then I clean it. But when it's a mess I know exactly which pile of junk is concealing my phone charger and under which heap is my brush...

IAG- Yeah, I had friends who were always in trouble, so I really knew how lucky I was. And I can follow a recipe, I just don't like to. And seriously, you wouldn't find me funny IRL.

HS- Oh, go ahead and brag. I don't mind. And haha. You always laugh at my jokes. I don't mind if people do. I just mind if they laugh at every word that comes out of my mouth.

RD- Lol about the phone. My phone also has a ton of buttons. :-)

G6- But he doesnt get to keep it. And I do. Which makes my pump cooler, cuz I always have a 6,000 dollar piece of machinery on me. :-D
And incidentally, I noticed the Bravo is made by Medtronic. They are the ones who made my pump, the Paradigm 722. :-)

TOL- No way!! Freddy is here to provide me with a constant reminder that erm, uh, well, I like him and you can't have him. So there. :-P
