I like your profile. :)

Diabetes should make them want you more- it shows you know how to deal with challenges successfully. :) :)

Diabetes is becoming too, too common, unfortunately. I have two friends (much older than you) who manage their diabetes with diet.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Feel free to visit regularly. The recipes I post are almost always healthful (my kids' favorite desserts sometimes make their way up there, on occasion).

Also, in my opinion, don't get married until you feel ready. And find someone with whom you can feel like you. I didn't get married until age 30, and I have three wonderful children and a great life. Wasn't so easy in my early twenties (I was diagnosed with an affective disorder at that point. Didn't hinder me with getting married...finding Mr. Right for me did).

Thanks Leora.
Actually I have type 1 diabetes, which is not related to weight or lifestyle choices. It stems from the body's inability to produce insulin, which means my diabetes can not be managed by diet- I require insulin injections to stay alive.

I'll have to look for your recipes. I'm always searching for good ones. (And don't worry- I can enjoy a good dessert too!)

I think I am ready to get married, but we'll see if God thinks so.... ;)

Thanks for stopping at BOSD and please come back! :-)

Thanks for sharing your story. It must've been so traumatic for you at the time and probably just as hard to reminisce. It sounds like you really grew from your experiences. BTW you are a fantastic writer and I love your blog.
