"When I need to test, I pull out my meter, stick in a strip, putt some blood on it, get a result, take out the strip, throw it out, and you're all done, right?
Not quite! Somehow, those pesky little strips make there way out of the garbage can and into the oddest places. I fold my newly washed sweaters and out pops-a test strip! When I am washing neggel vasser in the morning, i feel something on my hand...Yup! It's a test strip from my midnight test the night before. And when I am paying for something at the grocery store, I blush when out of my wallet pops-you guessed it! A used test strip! One comforting thing is that if I ever go missing I will know that they will find me really easily...they'll just follow the trail of test strips!"

Would you be surprised that I took out of my handbag 59 test strips last week and there are still strips there?? No way to get rid of them!!
You mean I am not the only one who counts how many I find on the bottom of my bag?
i have a question for you dear...are you on vacation? i hope not...now go throw out that old test strip that's stuck to the bottom of the shoes you wore yesterday!
Aren't we on vacation together, LS?
It's not the ones stuck to the bottom my shoes that annoy me. It's kinda unobtrusive there. It's the ones stuck to my face when i wake up that really aggravate me. (!)
get them off your shoes anyway!
you're not allowed on vacation. not when i'm around... ;)
Hi Inspired! nice to meet you!
SD - Are you merging your blogs? I guess it's really obvious to you guys, but I have a friend with diabetes who hid it from the 5 of us good friends for 10 years or so - and I STILL have never caught her with a single strip!
Now checking her pump is a different story.....! =)
LS-Can I say the same to you??
Zeeskeit- No, this is just a post to help people understand why I found millions of them while I was cleaning.
It's funny that you never saw them. I think that's the hardest thing to hide about having diabetes... :-p
i'm a bit harder to keep away from vacation than you...
You'd be surprised, LS!
i'm always surprised, and never in a good way.
Now that Obama got elected maybe it's time for a CHANGE! ;-)
Hi Zeeskeit! Nice to meet you all!
NONE of my friends know that I have diabetes either. IMO being so secretive makes me much more conscious to avoid such happenings. And if they ever do find me with something I doubt they would recognize it.
Are you secretive about your DEE-AA-BEE-TEEES?
BC-Well, you know about it. ;)
